Get a career in the film industry!

Get a paid job in the film industry -- learn continuity!

The job of script supervisor is vital to every filmed project that has a script: i.e., movies, television shows, commercials, web series, animation, and short films. The script supervisor is the professional on set who makes sure that everything in the script gets filmed, and everything that gets filmed can be edited together seamlessly without continuity errors. This is one of the least understood disciplines of film, as well as one of the departments with the fewest amount of trained professionals available. Script supervisors are always in demand and jobs often go begging in this department because there are very few script supervisors in the world. Competition for jobs in this niche of the industry is VERY small.

I have been teaching film continuity for 15 years in Toronto, Canada, and London, England, and have written a comprehensive guide to getting started in the profession. (You can check out my film credits here on IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm6281599/ )

If you find this job suits your talent and personality, it can be a "fast pass" to a rewarding job in the movie and television industry!

Kirkus Reviews: "A masterful storyteller"

Kirkus Reviews calls The Museum of Lies "A funny, dark, and deeply human novel about what shapes us as human beings. "Leaping back and forth between childhood traumas and the yo-yo dieting and personal humiliations of his adulthood, Hunt’s novel follows Cary’s unlikely journey toward self-understanding via recovered memory therapy—though whether the memories he ends up recovering are true (and what they might mean for his sense of himself) is not so cut and dried. The writing is as psychologically acute as it is funny ..." "Hunt is a masterful storyteller, escalating his protagonist’s misadventures to the point of farcical truth. Cary feels just responsible enough for his predicaments to make him a compellingly tragic figure, someone whose larger-than-life problems feel both real and searingly relevant to the reader." Book Review: Globe and Mail

The Globe and Mail’s 8th annual selection of the 100 best and most influential books of 2005 CURRENT AFFAIRS & POLITICS The Politics of Bones: Dr. Owens Wiwa and the Struggle for Nigeria's Oil By J. Timothy Hunt McClelland & Stewart, 389 pages, $36.99 This is a skillfully written book with many strands: the politics of development in an oil-rich nation; the local practices of large multinational companies; the colourful but often violent recent history of Africa's most populous nation; and a story of personal tragedy, flight and survival. The book focuses on Owens Wiwa and his wife, Diana. Wiwa was the brother of Ken Saro-Wiwa, charismatic leader of the Ogoni people, hanged by Sani Abacha's regime in 1995 on murky charges of political murder. — David M. Malone.
